On Thuesday, May 7 2024, the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) and the German-Arab Friendship Association (DAFG) held a workshop entitled “Palestine and Ukraine: Perspectives and Potential Cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Europe”.
The event was chaired by HRH Prince Turki AlFaisal, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of KFCRIS and Houssam Maarouf, Vice President of DAFG. The opening remarks were delivered by HRH Prince Turki AlFaisal, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of KFCRIS.
A number of prominent figures participated in the event: Ambassador Dr. Raed Krimly (Director General of the Policy Planning Department, Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Ambassador Dr. Ali Awad Assiri (Former Saudi ambassador to Pakistan and Lebanon), Dr. Mansour Almarzoqi (Director of the Center for Strategic Studies and Director of the Center for American Studies, Prince Saud AlFaisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies), Daniel Gerlach (Director General of the Candid Foundation and Editor-in-Chief of Zenith Magazine), Christian Gülisch (Head of Middle East and North Africa Unit, Berghof Foundation), Klaus-Dieter Frankenberger (Former Foreign Editor, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung), and Dr. Hanna Notte (Director of the Eurasia Nonproliferation Programme, James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey)
