Emina Osmandzikovic became an Associate Fellow at the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies in January 2020.
Emina is an expert on human rights, forced migration and displacement, and big data analysis. Previously she worked for the UNHCR Protection Unit in Jordan and Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she conducted extensive field research on highly vulnerable refugee communities and returnees. In 2017, she published her work titled “Immigrants’ integration experience in seven EU countries" in the NYUAD Journal of Social Sciences. In March 2019, she published “Refugee Characteristics as a game-changer for integration in Fortress Europe” European Scientific Journal.
Her regional focus includes the European Union and the Middle East. She speaks Bosnian, Arabic, English and basic German.
