KFCRIS signed MoU with Princess Noura University for cooperation in translation and training students

King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies signed a memorandum of understanding with Princess Noura Bint Abdulrahman University on Tuesday, December 26 2017, to promote joint cooperation in the field of translation. The agreement was signed by the Center's Secretary-General Dr. Saud Alsarhan and Dr. Samar Bint Mohammed Al-Saqqaf, Vice Dean for Educational Affairs at the University.  

Dr. Saud Alsarhan said that the agreement grants students of the translation department at the Faculty of Languages ​​at the University the opportunity to conduct field training at the Center during the academic semester. 

Alsarhan added that it includes areas of cooperation between the two parties, such as the translation of books to other languages ​​(Arabic, English, French) for their historical, academic or political value, to be included in graduation projects offered by students of the university's translation department under the supervision of specialized teaching staff. 

The aim of this cooperation is to exchange experiences between the two parties, enrich Arabic content, support publication, translate Arab heritage into other languages, translate publications to Arabic, and train students of the translation department at the Faculty of Languages.

The agreement comes within the framework of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies to cooperate with universities, academic, research, and educational bodies locally and internationally, with the aim of extending bridges of academic cooperation and strengthening cultural relations and exchanges.
