On Wednesday December 7, 2022, the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) convened an online panel discussion entitled: "The Influence of the Arabic Language on Some Languages of the Red Sea Coasts and Their Heritage and Literature." Four speakers joined the discussion: Prof. Kamal Jah Allah (Professor of Sudanese Languages and Linguistics, Khartoum International Institute for Arabic Language) Prof. Fawzi Barrow (Dean of Fathurahman University for Science and Technology, Somalia; Member of East African Linguists Association), Prof. Omar Abdelfattah (Professor of Linguistics Studie Department of African Languages, Faculty of African Postgraduate Studies, Cairo University), Dr. Mohammed Abdelrahman Hassan (Associate Professor, Criticism and Human Sciences, College of Fine Arts and Design, Al Neelain University). The discussion was moderated by Dr. Mohamed Al-Sbitli (Head of African Studies Program, King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies).
